From Nov 11 2017 till 1 Jan 2018, Orchard Road will be awash in hues of purple, blue and silver, with interactive street-side installations and a 12m main arch, the tallest to be on display at the Christmas light-up so far for this year annual Christmas light-up.
For the first time, a Christmas Village similar to traditional Christmas markets in Europe will be set up outside Ngee Ann City from Nov 25, featuring pop-up stores from 25 brands with nightly performances. There will also be a two-storey carousel and the village will run for a month.
The light-up will begin at 3pm instead of the usual 6.30pm along the 2.88km stretch between Tanglin Mall and Plaza Singapura (including Scotts Road).
Besides the village, photo-worthy highlights include a 12m-tall main arch outside Ion Orchard and a 5m Enchanted Tree installation outside Wisma Atria. Live bands, carollers and roving cosplayers will also be staging performances daily.
Alternatively, visitors can go to the many other places around the island to experience the Christmas light-up.
